The musket only travels at about 1400 feet per second, as opposed to a modern firearm which can go up to 4000 feet per second with heavier rounds. Pfffftt, imagine bringing an MG to a musket fight.

Wait, so blanks can still injure someone at a distance? I thought a blank was just lacking a bullet (or ball) but has everything else. It would produce a flash, but wouldnt fire any projectile. Im assuming with muskets, some of the powder still shoots out, but I still dont see how a blank could do damage to a can unless it was at point blank range.
