@TheAverageEuropean Thanks Joe. If you're thinking of doing day trading check out the website babypipsdotcom they are really useful for new traders. Also check out a good book called 'A beginners Guide To Day Trading Online' by Toni Turner.
Cheers

I might get back into forex in the future, but you are right - it is a case of leaning to do it properly and studying.

@rickvanman We both got hit pretty hard after that diabolical signal we had from FA but one thing Ive learned from pretty much every successful trader is that they all blew their accounts in the beginning but then picked themselves up from it.
The very basics I'd recommend is learn to understand trend-lines, Resistance/support, volume and one or two indicators like MACD or RSI etc.
Cheers

I traded in Forex, although I primarily worked Equities and Futures. I never really got into Forex. There were so many times when stops were being run that it just drove me nuts, whereas equities and futures tended to follow support and resistance a little bit more like I would expect. That said, be careful with FXCM. I had nightmares with them. I highly recommend Oanda FX, especially with their super-low spreads. Although, I'm not sure of their availability internationally. Good luck Kevin!

@JMowery Hi James..It's great to hear from you. I'm actually not doing too bad with the forex trades. Mainly doing short scalps of swing trades. I only tend to leave trades open for a few hours or for a day or 2 at the max. It's interesting to read that you have tried forex. I think it's a fascinating oppurtunity and am putting alot of time into learning it properly.
Cheers
