  • How long did it take to write that poem because it is very good and effective , you speak as though you are a black person your self

  • Thank you, much Luv, it took about 8 minutes,(almost all my poems take about that much time because I never force myself to write nor to rhyme. If it's not from the heart, then it's not true) Stay up & stay blessed , 3D

  • The uprising of black America is ur greatest nightmare..he killed it :) great job

  • You know I find it so amazing that young people like yourself say to the elders of our culture to "not dwell on slavery." Let me tell you we can never forget the past, nor do we need to forget the past. Our current standing is still based on the past and our future will never come to fruition if we don't correct the errors of the past. Learn your history and then tell your ancestors and elders to forget the past.

  • I loved that line too!

  • Very true

  • we cannot forget the past, but if we are so busy being bitter about it, how can we focus on the future? the problem is human nature. The main reason America today is involved in the middle east and the reason blacks were oppressed and segregation still remains evident. FEAR. Whites feared a shift in power and the idea of social darwinism when there was the Great Migration. The US fears any third world country that is rising in power because the US wants control just like whites did.

  • nice one..

we cant 4get the past because it runs down our bloodlines..we see black men mad and we ask why..2 tuskeege men injected with diease.

to the aids epidemic in africa.

find out who conducts the reasearch.get a effing clue.i am 3rd generation free from old slavery to 3rd generation new slave and so are you.we are capital cattle.this is what sum blk people know and now you know 2.unless u immagrated here, congratz ur a slave 2 the past not 4goten but is still here when u die then ur 4ree

  • I wasn't trying to argue, I was merely stating my opinion on the matter. Anyway, thanks for debating with me. Take care...

  • Whatever, I dont care to argue with you.

  • Forget, dwell, ignore... it's all the same in this arena. We can't help but to push forward through this muck called capitalism. It's good that you are aware of your history, but if being aware means that we shouldn't recognize the enemy for what/who they are; then I want no parts of that. Maybe if we were to receive reparations it would be easier to not "dwell". As it stands, current forms of slavery (mental bondage/ prison-industrial complex) still exists making it harder to not "dwell".

  • Y focus on the future when tomorrow is not promised? The past matters more than the future because the past teaches lessons for the future. If there were no past, then there would be no future. Get a damn clue.

  • Thank you
