Organization Summary: As the hub of the food bank community in Toronto, Daily Bread supports approximately 170 member agencies in running different kinds of food relief programs. Our agencies run neighbourhood food banks where people come to access food hampers, as well as meal programs where people can access prepared meals such as soups or casseroles.

Storyteller: Francine Robitaille

Storyteller Bio: For several years now, Francine Robitaille, a retired communications specialist, has been part of the team conducting the Daily Bread Food Bank's annual surveys that serve to identify the profile of hunger in the greater Toronto area.

Story Description: Francine tells a story about learning that homelessness and poverty can strike anyone, at any time, and describes the importance of helping each other to strengthen our community.
