Hi Caleb's mom. I have a 12 year old son that uses the omnipod. I see that Caleb uses it too. We are thinking of getting a CGM. Have you been happy? Has it helped you with lows? Do you check his sugar less?

@seashellnj1234 CGM has been very helpful. We do continue to do regular fingersticks to validate CGM info. Although it's a wonderful tool, it has drawbacks - accuracy, insertion, Caleb's skin reacts to the adhesive. Bottom line: I'm glad we have it and I look forwarded to improvements being made in CGM systems. So much potential there.

@coolmilly1 Aw, thanks. I think so too. It's not a ton of fun getting poked all the time.

Have you seen the safety instructions for the Dexcom 7Plus?e SEVEN System is not approved for use in children or adolescents, pregnant
women or persons on dialysis.e safety and effectiveness of the SEVEN System has not been evaluated for sensor
probe insertion sites other than the skin of the abdomen.

@MrTB1027 I have. You are correct. It is not approved for children. Nevertheless, many use it effectively and successfully, including Caleb. Thanks for your comment.
