Downtown Bhangra 2011 - JEWISH PUNJABI Israel India Fusion @ VIBC City of Bhangra

It is Bollywood in Vancouver at the Downtown Bhangra 2011 VIBC City of Bhangra Festival 2011. For the first time ever, the Jewish Community Centre and Surrey India Arts worked on creating a Punjabi-Israel fusion song and dance number. This unique presentation that combines these two diverse cultures was performed at the Vancouver Art Gallery grounds on May 13, 2011. A truly one-of-a-kind Bollywood in Vancouver experience.

I come up with this original term 'Bollywood in Vancouver' to signify a particular brand of Bollywood entertainment that is often a fusion of some sort. Like in this video, it has Jewish influence in it.

@ThaSoulFya Exactly, the similarity between the founding of Israel and Pakistan is striking in this regard. Both are religious identity based, while the founders themselves were rather secular minded and not interested in introducing authentic religious laws. This has created continious strife in both West Asia and South Asia, a factor useful for imperialists and arm traders. Of course at the expense of the common good of the people. I hope u all take note of the fact that "Israeli dancing" is simply stolen/modified version of Arab cultural dance(DABKE!). This dance comes from the people whose land was STOLEN to create "Israel" 64 years ago. This performance makes me feel shame as a desi!!!! If you're mad about how Pak was created, how can u approve of Israel? That is hypocrisy! Wake up to the truth my ppl. Get on the right side of history.
