J. S. Bach WTC II: Prelude No. 1 in C Major BWV 870, Robert Hill, Steinway piano. Brandeis University (Waltham MA/USA) 28 iii 10. Testdriving the Steinway D after a comprehensive action rebuild by David Stanwood
This prelude can, I suppose, be played in many, many different ways! The polyphony is, or can be, completely transparent at lower tempi. But after years of playing it, myself, I think it benefits from a relatively strict and "quick" tempo! Still, great to hear an emotional reading!
