well!!! turn table by the time i had one but its possible if u ve a denon dj mixer wit a scratcher on it to keep the pitch uhhh... settin it with your pc to record n bout the software i did this b4 like 3 years n i use COOL EDIT PRO to record but noww there are like a bunch of new softwares.

First you need a software if you have a Mac you need to buy music Pro or if you have a PC you need to purchase what every rap producer uses a "Fruity Loop Studio" software which i have one and it works amazingly well and you can sample anything on it.
and finally lots and lots of time because it takes ages to even learn the software. hope this helps. If you need i will send you what i have done with old amharic songs its awesome.
