Official name for song is HOUSE? Formerly called Material Thing - thanks to forestgospel43, CrystalTamborine and Anakin

**********
Lyrics: are they right?
**********

There isn't much that I feel I need
A solid soul and the blood I bleed
With a little girl, and by my spouse
I only want a proper house

I don't care for fancy things
Or to take part in a precious wait
And to provide the man you ask
I will, with heart, on my father's grave

I don't mean
To seem like I care about material things
Like a social status
I just want
Four walls and adobe slabs
For my girls

  • You need Adobe Slabs to watch this video. Download it from Adobe.

  • mit Musik kann man ein Universum erschaffen :)

  • id have to disagree considering they try and make their albums all live - that is, its recorded live - atleast so im led to believe.

  • Lyrics you suggested were alright, but "precious wait" is "freshest wave". like how people compete with eachother to have the best things when they dont really want them at all inside. "with heart" is "work hard" and "slabs" is "slats" but those are pretty similar.

    Amazing song :D

  • actually, if you take into consideration HOW they make their albums, which is usually recordings of them playing live, they place an emphasis on how it sounds LIVE. they are in essence, an environment-based band. i understand your dissappointment, but every band has bad days.

  • i know what the problem is, why it doesn't sound so great live. each stage or place they perform, the sound is different of course. like this place they at. it's too echoey. i like this song alot, but u can't hear much of anything..every noise made is clashing. sound waves just goin krazy all over in that place. how they got the speakers set in places would help a little. there are a bit of variations y it sounds like that. awesome band tho

  • I saw them live at green man and, although I love them, they were rubbish live

  • i've seen them 3 times going back to 2005 and everytime i've been pretty disappointed. the shows are all fanboys tripping and you can tell they put the time into their production, not the live show. but i guess that's okay, the albums are incredible.

  • I miss the old version of this song so much. I forgot how warm and shiny the vocals are.

  • I agree with you. Just saw them live last night and it wasn't as great as I expected. The mix of everything was off and most of the show just felt very long and droning. And parts that could've been really explosive just kinda fell flat. They're better recorded than live in my opinion.
