The sad irony is that all those brutal looking buildings are now the fashion again, and being built once again in the area by companies like Urban Splash.

i was raised in hulme in the 70's before we moved to prestwich i was there when the gamecock pub was built and also going to aquarius youth centre. they weren't always fun times but we survived. is martinscroft school still there?

good photos reminds me,of when i moved to hulme in 69,the pleasures of a inside toilet(x2) and a bathroom,not a tin bath,great place at first,i lived in epping walk above the apt shop ,good days
