Marillion...the ultimate middle finger to a narrow minded, stale music industry. These guys do everything in house and on their own terms. If that doesn't make them the best band in the world, I don't know what does. These guys continue to inspire me with their music and their work ethic.

"To be seen enjoying their music, as I am here, is extraordinarily brave."
LOL
The band with the biggest stigma in the music business as Q Magazine once said.
I recall Gareth McLean of The Guardian reviewed this programme and took a fairly predictable swipe at the band, describing them as "once dodgy and now completely rubbish" (without actually bothering to hear their album, of course!) and blamed the band for the record industry deserting them. Showing that he learned nothing from the show

@MALONEYCAMFIELD the only place marillion get fair reviews ( i.e reviews where you get the impression that the reviewer has bothered to listen to the band's music wheather the rewier likes an album or not ) is in the classic rock press .

yes this was shown on bbc one i forget the shows name but it was about how the internet is cutting out the middle man in buisness . that kind of thing .

They've tidied the place up a bit since this was filmed.

how can a band this good not have been marketed in the us when they controlled by the record companies. all young musicians should be forced to watch this vid.....even if you never heard of these guys.

So this is Aylesbury, great to see the nerve center of Racket records ;-)

Nice video... never seen it before.

The first song is called "This is the 21st Century" from Anoraknophobia

how is the first song called??
Nice video... never seen it before.
But I do have to say that I highly doubt it that it was broadcast on Dutch TV. For instance, it is missing subtitles and the way the moderator speaks English doesn't really sound like someone from the Netherlands.
