Common issue on high performance clutches. It isn't adjusted correctly, so when the guy is revving the car the clutch is dragging on the flywheel causing the car to roll forward even though the clutch is depressed. The kids aren't trying to keep the car from launching, they're trying to compensate for the shitty clutch install.
