  • He's such a sweetie! Can I have him?

  • Awfully nice horse.....!

  • @SHELLMADDE definitely not stringhault, you wouldnt see the off balanced nature that this horse has.

  • Ridden**

  • My horse was recently diagnosed with shivers. I first noticed it when trying to pick his hind feet when he would shake and attempt to pick up his front foot. After about two months of this, I got him out of his stall to find him dead lame. This was when the vet diagnosed him. He will not ever be able to be risen again and his days are limited. I wish you the best with your horse, he seems like an incredibly sweet and gentle animal.

  • your horse is very well mannered and well trained. How much of an issue is this disorder as far as a horse living a normal life?

  • @SHELLMADDE .. Stringhalt would cause more of a rapid "snap back" effect when extending out the leg and the snapping forward, the leg would be raised much higher towards the belly. Often times, Shivers and Stringhalt are confused between the 2.
