Most birds will never lay on their back, it is the most vulnerable position for a bird. Bigger birds aren't as phased, they have those big beaks after all.
Some birds will happily lay on their backs, other birds would rather die before laying down (My Conure won't, but my Lori's love it - we 'wrestle' - fingers vs claws, tummy tickle wins!). Just enjoy your bird for what he/she offers, and enjoy their own personality.

What a beautiful baby. I am so sorry for your loss. I have three parrots of my own and when they lay on their back like that for me and are so calm I know that God has blessed me with angels. :)

@lisacleverley Yeah. I have a green cheek, and ive seen an adult lovebird in a pet shop and they are like 5cm shorter, and their tails is really short.

@lisacleverley i have a Conure like yours named Ozzy and a Lovebird named Cupid and Lovebirds are smaller then Conures, probably about 3-4 inches smaller... maybe more, i havent really seen the two of them together since Cupid HATES Ozzy...

It's heartwarming to see how much love and care that bird must get to feel so comfortable around you. I and my green cheek approve.

My conures are not so relaxed. She obviously loves and trusts you!

@lisacleverley Lovebirds are a bit smaller. I have two conures now. A cinnamon green cheek, and a fancy green cheek, but growing up I had a lovebird, so I've been able to compare. There isn't a HUGE difference, but still
