Meditation-Silence. Listen to the silence within you and learn the ancient art of meditation. Within each of us, a tranquil inner world lies waiting to be discovered. Here, the silence, stillness and peacefulness of our deeper, spiritual nature can be experienced through meditation and flow out into every part of our life. Meditation reconnects us with the bright and positive qualities of our heart and the greater happiness and delight of our souls. "Why Do We Meditate? We meditate because this world of ours has not been able to fulfill us....It is only through meditation that we can get lasting peace, divine peace." - Sri Chinmoy

  • so we see that silence without normal living produces idiots who dream that they are gods!so i ask what happens to us when we are using those practises!we became as out of life as this man!

  • The guy IS pretty weird. But most of the time he knows what he is talking about. Even if you don't share his beliefs he is still a good human being.

  • weird is good word:)but i want to add-lifeless! if this is good then i dont want never be good!

  • He just came from very different background than us. I respect the guy mostly not for his beliefs but for his support of endurance sport.

  • sport!like his music abilities are almost zero so i want to know what kind of sport this man does with this unnormal big belly!

  • He doesn't do any sports to speak of. He is pretty rich and donates lots of money to support endurance sport events. May be he even everything else he does ain't worth much. But his support of endurance sport appeals to me probably more than to other people since i am doing long distance events myself.

  • @cannabisdeathmorbs yep, I've seen more light-hearted meditatiors here on youtube. Right now Patriji's stuff seems pretty cool :D

  • @supralee I agree, he's a bit weird, but meditation, like many other skills and practices, can be a good part of life IMHO. Like anything, if taken to extremes it might be bad (see sex, eating, too much of anything creates imbalance).

For an alternative example, search Patriji, here on youtube, I for one like his approach better. He advises to meditate, and also get deeply involved with other skills like music, art, study of any subject that interests you, family and so on. Cheers :)

  • ok now im freaking out....this seemed so cool....this feels a bit tainted with bad vibes

  • like an exconvict pretending he's god.

  • this man was an avatar, who walked on earth in the highest state of consciousness possible... he was as the Christ, as the Buddha, as an enlightened being... something we are in our own beings when we become as him

  • he is dead now and we must admit that man was full of peace and inward silence-bliss while meditating.that was his great gift to the people whom he met!the limitation and onsided behaivor is normal to any human being and as he was human he learned as much as he could.very rare man and uniquely religious.

  • After leaving the group it seems Sri Chinmoy "was pretty vindictive," recalls Santana. "He told all my friends not to call me ever again, because I was to drown in the dark sea of ignorance for leaving him." Despite all this Santana still claims, "It was a good learning experience."

  • it is not good for ones knees:)beside good runner needs two things-right training and fresh air:)
