Rivalries build sports. In the NHL, a majority of these rivalries will remain intact with the realignment plan being put in place as soon as 2012. The plan however does have some flaws.

  • Oh my god, they are talking about hockey! And they are talking about real issues. Let's hope this is a new trend.

  • @BrotherAlpha Hockey will always be evident on TYT Sports BrotherAlpha. Michael and I love it.

  • @tytsports Are any of you Leaf fans? lol

  • @Movies96B Nope. I support the Blackhawks, Michael supports the Rangers/Kings and Ben supports the Oakland A's.

  • @rickthaluddite I just get pissed when Ben disses Hockey. Look I don't like baseball. I find it to be the most unbelievably boring sports in the world. I would rather watch paint dry. However, if I worked for ESPN, I'd keep my opinion to myself because there might just be some viewers who love baseball.

  • Excellent point on getting people playing Michael!. I think that's one of the reason the Blackhawks have built such a fan base here. When Rocky Wirtz took over the Blackhawks, one of the best ideas their new GM brought was setting up hockey camps for kids, having events where you can meet the team. The Hawks have some of the most loyal fans in the league...Everyone else should do likewise.

  • @tytsports Thank god....I'm a huge Blackhawks fan. Hockey is a great sport, and it deserves attention.

  • stupid nhlpa

  • @iluvwater66 I can't help it, I'm Canadian.

  • @Movies96B oh god please no leafs fans...

  • @Sahluful Ben is okay when they talk baseball.

  • UW Madison men's hockey games also get very good attendance. The local stations don't show any games and there's no in-state team, so nobody wants to put a team here. If we actually had one, it'd get good ratings and good crowd attendance. I'm certain this is true throughout the Northern US and Canada.. But we're "small market" so we likely won't get teams. The NHL needs to know its market. That market is in places that get ice on lakes in the winter. Not places who only see ice in the freezer.
