  • Religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible man - who watches everything you do. And he has a special list of 10 things he does not want you to do. And if you do any of these things, he has a special place, full of fire and anguish, where he will send you to suffer 'til the end of time! But He loves you ! ...and He needs money! He's all-powerful and wise, but can't handle money! Now, you talk about a good bullshit story. Holy Shit! -- George Carlin

  • @dmh497 This song is not about Christians as a whole, it is about three individuals who used Christianity to steal money form people. Zappa never says all Christians are like televangelists, he does however state that "If you let those T.V preachers make a monkey out of you, Jesus will think you're a jerk, and it would be true." Don't take the Bakker's thievery personally (as a Christian). Unless that is you gave them money for a stay in that crazy hotel and never got to go...

Finally, someone who gets, thats why I as a non-religious christian (odd as that may sound.) am not offended by Franky...i think he's hilarious and true at the same time.

  • @SpeedOfDark186Kmps Propaganda for what?

  • @Shadow1798 Its supposed to be ridiculous. Have you heard any of Frank Zappa's other works?

  • @UjioSatashi What is so off about this song? Who is messing up their part? Who is out of key? I don't hear a damn thing wrong with this song.

  • This song never ceases to crack me up. Zappa was a monster....just a sharp-minded man and composer....

Sad that America never gives him his due.

yeah, it's pointless to go on, but plato is also a part of history and a crucially important figure. the fact that those documents were not questioned is shocking to me. hell, take alexander the great as well. the earliest documents known were written over 400 years after his death, but people find that trustworthy and it's taught in schools. that's pure history right there too. i digress though, no need to continue.

  • @4:35....closer than I want to think

  • @YngwieAteMe Im in Vietnam for the next month so we might as well end this conversation now. unless you have something really profound that you´ve been waiting to add?

  • @YngwieAteMe the fact that we don´t know wether plato or socrates et al. really existed does not really matter because its philosophy oh, and non of them claimed to be the son of god - thats pretty important too. the reasons we are taught about them in school is because whoever wrote it made some really good (and, admittedly, bad) observations. Athens>Jerusalem IMO.
