  • OK 64 don"t disagree the model L is where my Dad and myself got started, but being 94 yrs old it is a little easyer to sit and not walk behind as, far as anybody's but being kicked. Also as far as being pretty all these tractor are original, no makeovers here. Not sure why the negative, but you are the first after many hits. Tom

  • Thanks Cato it was worth it. Tom

  • Local, I know what you are saying after putting up with the briggs 16 single and the k-12 single, the vibration is annoying, would recomend kohler mag 18 or honda 24 as replacement, a twin makes everything much more tolerable. Thanks for checking the site out. Tom

  • Great Vid hope your Dads ok love the garage full of Gravely,s i had an L model as a teen then went to the 12 horse does Gravely make an attachment to get the driveway gravel off the roof from the snowblower lol they throw some snow ace any task changing attachments in minutes as good at one thing as anything else have a Great night Brendan

  • @wasted6666 , Thanks Brendan for checking it out, funny stuff about the snowblower. T.

  • I grew up with this same tractor. My father bought an 818-T when I was very young (likely only 7-8 years old). He used it primarily as a lawn tractor to cut his grass (3/4 of an acre - the Sears tractor just wasn't doing well. When I was 12, Dad taught me to use it, and I cut the grass at his place for years. The other uses that this solid tractor was put to: plowing snow, tilling gardens, pulling stumps, towing cars, etc. This tractor is nothing but solid.

  • @obsidian468 , Thank-you for cking it out, I think somebody refered to this tractor as being a beast, I just did some snowblowing with it and am going to post another demo of it's capability, nothing lugs it down! Thanks again and stay tuned. Tom

  • Model L and any other Gravely walk-Behind will kick these riding tractors butts any day! who care if the are not the prettiest thing out there

  • 94 and still at it cant beat it good son

  • The Onan twin that is on some of these tractors makes them wonderful to use. I had one on mine and then the crankshaft got messed up where the flywheel bolts on. Got a parts tractor with a Kohler 14 horse "K" series one-cylinder and put the Kohler on my former Onan tractor. Now the thing vibrates so much that I can't put my feet on the floorboards. They get numb from the vibration. Now I need a rebuildable Onan CCKA motor so that I can get back in the groove!
