Never say sorry for Freedom of Speech you have the right as every other human being to have your say rather people agree or not agree. People gave their life in many wars for your Right to Say what you want right or wrong..

I would encourage you to seek the video presentations of Nassim harrimein he can explain the "matter" in the core also I would reccoment the work of Marko rodin to tie in with this.
Kind regards

there is some other interesting theorys on the expansion.. that part of the expansion could be due to expanding magma inside the earth... also part of the mass accrued could have come from other sources not yet considered such as quarks that pass harmlessly through you and me but can't pass through the earth.. what amount of mass they may have added overtime .. i don't think anyone knows... i actually believe in both theorys.. i think both hold part of the right awnser.. and a blend of the two

You`re welcome. It`s not effort. It`s a pleasure.
And I am sadly aware, that some of my esteemed colleagues do not conduct these discussions with politeness and style - fact style that any genuine question deserves.
And the question is genuine.
I must confess however, that I am no longer doing my bread and butter work in the science arena. So in that sense I have no "reputation" to lose. Sad to say so, but I can afford to be matter of fact ant try to be polite.
Have a good one

blacksilkblacksilk where did you get 0.5mm per year from?
Could the earth expand erratically due to external gravitational forces eg moon, sun, and rare alignments and so forth releases inner pressure through these week points. So earth quake and volcanic eruptions are the release of that pressures.? I studied geology at university along with conservation biology and know the conventional inner workings on the plate tectonic theory.
THUMBS UP BY THE WAY

@Neobrachus I fear I did not do a very good job in documenting this. So from what I remember the 0.5 mm was somehow fished from google. The whole clip was a very rash shot. In retrospect I should have researched my figures better, and done the math better to present the case. So sorry, if I cannot give any useful answer.
I believe I have some numbers from the wikipedia entry on the expanding earth model.
take care

@Neobrachus Sorry my answer comes in bits and pieces but I am self employed, and currently I have a looooot to do. So as for the external gravitational forces: they would by their nature point in any direction over time, and so while they might create a "wobble" of sorts they would statistically cancel each other out. (very roughly speaking)
take care
