Very inspiring! You deff show how to make looping a form of art, and I thank you for being so creative in playing a classical piece in this manner. Keep this up!!

Zoe: Saw you play this in Cambridge, MA. I remember playing this as a French horn player in my college orchestra and (well... I was more sitting there during this particular movement as a horn player... BUT) this was always one of my favorites. Really brought a smile to my face when I heard you covering it. You inspired me to start playing cello at the age of 25. Thank you. I love it. :-)

Love everything she does! So much talent and so little recognition!

this is a special performance. This reminds me of childhood. The width of the imagination extends to this because the sounds are less than others.

I heard you on the local classical station today doing an interview/performance. Really cool and insightful stuff, and your passion definitely shows. As for me, when I realized that I lost track of the fact that it was you playing different lines and recording them and instead visualized the piece as one awesome fusion of music was when I thought to myself, "This is freaking SWEET!"
Keep on truckin', you'll always find people who appreciate your fresh perspective!

I meet a lot of music students in my tours & can tell you that it is precisely this fear of being "wrong" that stops many from expressing themselves and often leads to them giving up music. For years that fear got in the way of me being able to feel music at all. I performed this piece many times (including w/ NY Youth Symph in Carnegie Hall) & of course a cellist in an orchestra has to play it a certain way. I love reclaiming it for myself & its always controversial when I play it!

I really challenge the concept there is a right or wrong way to play a layered, amplified "cover" of Beethoven! Its my interpretation, how I feel it (tech detail, I tweak the phrasing to make layers fit on playback). Why are pop artists allowed to take liberties when doing a cover, yet one can't do the same w/ classical piece? Leave it for the London Phil to do it the "right" way, meanwhile I'll play this in a way that means something personal to me.
