The main theme from Jerry Herman's musical "Dear World" starring Angela Lansbury in the lead role of Countess Aurelia. Released in 1969, re-released in 1992.

I saw the show in the first few weeks of its run. It was not a badmusical at all though the book dragged on a bit. The songs, sets, costumes and production values were wonderful ...and of course Angela Lansbury was brilliant as always. The mad women's trio of The Tea Party is a flawless piece of musical theater and if only for this number the show should be revived.

The lyrics are so deliciously horrible, the whole thing such a campy 1960s mess, yet somehow irresistable. Like an accident you can't pass by without looking.

Gorgeous music, beautiful singers, lush orchestrations... and terrible lyrics. Still I have a soft spot for this song and the show.
