Dmitry Kabalevsky ( 1904-1987)
- Piano Sonate no. 2 opus 45
I. Allegro moderato - Festivamente
Piano:
Vladimir Horowitz (1903-1989)
recorded 1947
This recording is the premiere recording of this sonata. I particularly like the second movement, it sounds very visionary depicting for my sense visions of a futuristic world and some extra-terrestrial existence. Therefore I have made a video for the second movement using pictures that somewhat suggest the atmosphere. Yet the music speaks for itself of course!
Enjoy this best ever made recording of Kabalevsky's second sonata!
This is wonderful! Really exciting! and with a lot of Passion, I´m not really a fan of Horowitz, but this is an awesome interpretation!
