Ronathahonni Presents: Rekindling the Fire

On Monday June 1st 2009 the Canadian Border Service Agency was to become armed. At the port in Akwesasne, Mohawk Nation Territory the people protested. At 11:30 pm May 31st the CBSA personnel abandoned their facility and evacuated our territory. Since that day, Akwesasne people have held a peaceful encampment on the grounds adjacent to the facility. This is the first in a series on the ongoing events in the camp and the people who maintain it.

Let me preface:I have not had any exposure to this situation at all. I heard about this on PrisonPlanetTV today. From what I have seen on the video, I am quite impressed! I hope that each citizen of each state of the U.S. would take action to assure sovereignty . This is a great example! Please keep us posted. I see by the comments this is not favorably looked on.  They only point of disagreement I may have is how will you defend yourselves should an oppressor have the guns you don't carry?

Who are the real terrorist "now"? Why are there quotes around now? And "Save the next seven generations. No Guns"

As if they're going to be killing us all off. Proof that these people are uneducated, ignorant, and racist. If they really wanted to save the next 7 generations they should focus on environmental and health issues. AKA buying something other than a big SUV with big chrome rims and cutting back on the alcohol, betty bread, and glaziers bologna.

The people against guns at the border crossing make up a small perentage of the Mohawk people. They are the stupid, uneducated, ignorant people of Akwesasne. Thanks for making the entire rez look as stupid as you are. There is no sense of community or caring about anything or anyone but themselves on this rez. Akwesasne is full of hypocrites who think they are better than everyone else.
