Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar has made an innovative departure by emphasizing the need to expand the use of management science in the form of creating managers not only for corporate sector but also for the social sector.

Every year XIMB students take up projects relating various social issues(Socially Relevent Project - SRP) and learn from them and there by benefiting the society.

Project "SANGHATI" is a unique initiative by 1st year student of PGDM 2011-13(Rural Management) for the upliftment of tribal communities (Santhal and Munda) by forming "Self Help Group" and enabling the community to find solutions for their problems, and encourage them to proceed together towards a better future full of opportunities for better tomorrow.The project also includes livelihood options for the tribal women. Most women work as daily wage laborers; we intend to provide them with an alternate source of livelihood.
 Accessibility to the existing Anganwadi facilities.
 Children‟s Health & Education: Seeing the health and hygienic conditions of the village.
