A85-S307-A77-X49-H4 running as 9280 approach Kangaroo Flat station. This train was a combined, 9084 x Deniliquin, 9280 x Swan Hill, and 9076 x Boort. This was one of the largest trains I have seen leave Bendigo, and it had to be made up in 2 sections in the yard, and after the arrival of the pass from Melbourne at around 20 30 it would run out of the yard and join both sections together, with the back at the nth end of the yard limit, and the front up near Golden Square station. I seem to recall this was only done on 2 occasions. Tue 23/12/03
and thats how freight should be run.

This is a REAL train. I only wish I was born 10 years ago so I could see this action for myself.

With all that heavy stuff down the back you'd get a serious kick up the arse without some considerable care when using the brake. A rough calculation puts this train over the allowable 1200 metres for the metropolitan area.
