@MrKeefta, if you look at the High Court ruling you will see joint Robert Godfrey did establish that he was a joint author, albeit to varying degrees, in the original arrangements of six songs:-
Dark Now My Sky
When The World Was Woken
Mocking Bird ("a substantial contribution")
Galadriel ("sufficient in importance and originality")
IT IS a cover; RJG did participate in original orchestration of the song (as it was recognised in law,but got no rights or credits by autorship) the composition of this great song, belongs to John Lees (and originally sung by the GREAT Wolly - RIP).
Ahem - "the Enid's keyboard player" is none other than the amazing composer, Robert John Godfrey. Check out anything by The Enid and you will realise that his song writing skills are very diverse and original. (I know nothing about Barclay James Harvest, so this link is between them is news to me.)
It is rumoured that this is not in fact a cover, in that it was written by the Enid's keyboard player. Who got it into the studio first is somewhat irrelevant anyway. It is a classic, one of the best pieces of music ever written.
Beautiful melodies, and dramatic configurations were not lost. While adding a different arrangement, that nice to reproduce the BJH. It covers great. Anytime, I'm don't say something to about the cover. But, I think this cover was made by wonderful thought. It's feel degree of Very high completion.
perfect!!!!!

I can't wait for the live DVD featuring The Enid and the CBSO to come out, and this song will be on it.
