Tigrigna music means music of Tigray ane Eritrea. The majorities in each of these territories share the same language, Tigrigna. Tigrigna music, doinant in Tigray and Eritrea, is quite distinct, both rhythmically and melodically, from "Ethiopian" music, though both are based on the pentatonic scale. The traditional instruments and musical practices are similar, while their names may vary. Aside from the Tigrean Bèzuayènè Zègèyè, most of the artists featured on this album are of Eritrean ofigin: Tsèhaytu Bèraki, Tèwèodè Rèdda, Tebèreh "Doris Day" Tèsfa-Hunegn, Tèklé Tèsfa-Ezghi.

  • great woork, thnaks for share thiis music.... ; )

  • @Fkkoff ..and have you ever heard of Mata or Coloe ? If you speak of the Agaziyan..that ake you to the track/root of our history too... So just leave the deeper history of the country to people who have knoledge better than you and me...But be sure before writing..of course before Axumite Kingdom there were other earler civilitions...Have you heard about the She Lione Head Great Sculpture time ?..Then if you just -go down in the centerla Ethiopia,,, there are the Stelae at Tiya ..A "news" for u!

  • @Fkkoff No- false information- Document yourself before writing- Before the AAxumite steleae there are remainsof an even earlier civilization.. Just read of the remains of "The Temple of Yeha- 6th Century BC Before axum- there was the "Damaat Kingdom" In Yeha- So don't act as if you know Ethiopian history-We have the cradle of the Saba Kingdom -The Quenne of The Great KIngdom having also the Arabic peninusla countries & the current Hornof Africa (except of Saomalian )..

  • @asterchereka try to understand...i said u guys never built anything PRIOR to axsum, but we had matara civilisation, and six other kingdoms, wich is older than aksum..Its our pepole who built axsum aka the Kebessa Agazian pepole, axusm is very close to eritrean border, and have historicly been influneced by thier neghburhs...iam not acting Tigrayan, im acting myself a kebessa agazian..prior to axsum u where all agews, fuck u ok...u never teach us anything

  • @Fkkoff Just leave the history education to those we are able to give the right information- Go and try to find yr roots/tracks- This is Ethiopieques, a collection of a sereis valuable and beautiful songs /masterpieces, born and realized thanks to that Great Forefather, HAILE SELASSIE I who tried to build / realize a lot of things in the whole ..one of this section was the musi. He let realize a lot of musical bands-Viva Ethiopia -Peace

  • @Fkkoff The language you speak today has its origin from Tigray of course /indeed--Then if you would like to go deeper in the history , we can speak of Ge'ez language spoken in the Axumite Kingdom of which capital is Axume (Tigray- Ethiopia)..so my dear Eritrean guy,,,As a matter of fact we have our history of which we are proud, we have our musica, our land - You have yr own & just stay there listening to your music- No one is looking for you !By & stay in Peace in yr Eritrea- We are ok as we r

  • @asterchereka AKSUM has kebessa orgin itselfs, thats why the pepole of surronding citys today speak tigrnya like eritreans..its tru fact...

  • @asterchereka The language i speak today (tigrinya is from ethiopia tigray ?? ahahahha are u seroius ?how come only north tigrayans(border agames) speak good tigrnya while rest speaks bad, like the rayas or tembiens? we speak better tigrniya than u guys, tigrnya comes from Geez.Tigre, beja and the rest of kebessa have AGAZIAN roots.u have nothing do do with Agazians.and our matara civilisation outdates axsum. u never built anything prior to axsum but we did.

  • @Fkkoff You are acting as Tigrinian,,the language you spoke is from Tigray = Ethiopia ! So , stop, acting always as if "the others" are acting like... Just read the years in which this collecting has been made.. just study the year in which this song has been sung...ask where Eritrea was at that time &you'll find the answer..No one is acting like Eritreans-

  • @bolekid The Whole Cd and collection is of Ethiopia- That song is of Ethiopia becausein that time Eritrea was a province in Ethiopia- The music born at that time: this is the reason why it is a part of this collection- During that time (Haile selassie time) a lot of bands were born in the different area of the country: Harer, Asmera, Addis Abebe ..& so on,,
