I lost weight by reducing *portion size*... especially "sweets" (junk food). It became surprisingly satisfying to have ONE cookie!
After ~two weeks, the cravings disappeared. ~Two weeks is a threshold for breaking habits.
Also, my mental "goal" was to exercise >>3 minutes<< --easy to do, and of course usually it feels good to exercise, so I usually exercised much longer...the 20-30 minutes they recommend.
I prefer the elliptical (machine) over jogging... no impact.
35 lbs = 16 kg :-)

You can do it Sara!
I've been thinking of doing WL videos again and seeing yours has given me more motivation to do so.
So thanks!

I still haven't weighed myself but I took pictures (like I said I might) and I can tell I have gained quite a bit. Comparing to old pictures I can say I want to start by losing about 40lbs to get back to my pre health problems weight and from there just see what makes me happy. The past 3 days (today is day 4) has been a roller coaster but I am happy I am doing it. I am feeling better knowing I am eating healthier now by body needs to catch up hehe! Have a great say everyone :)

Weight loss takes huge commitment. Over summer I aimed to lose about 15 lbs. I achieved it by jogging twice a week, cutting the carbs and having 2 eggs for breakfast, soup for lunch and carb free meal at night. I made sure I ate 2 hours before I went jogging. Then I went back to uni and I put all that weight back on because I can't afford gym, it's cold to go out jogging and healthy food isn't cheap enough. So back to square one. My idea weight would be... 140 lbs.

@Keikei06 I used to do that 2... but like you I can't afford gym and I can't go jogging because of my knee... it would get to demaged as the bone is almost on bone already :(
