@mouthyweasel If I understand Wright correctly, his agenda is to find a more productive way forward than 'militant atheism'. Do you think any craze christian, orthodox jew or any muslim will ever say: "Ah, now I see: there ís no god... thanks!"? Hell no. I am a pretty strident atheist, but now I am considering reserving that approach only for when they are in my face with their horseshit. In general, I might opt for secular humanism. I need to read more first, but it sounds very sensible to me.

We know so much more about the nature of reality, and we're okay with answers like, "I don't know. Yes sure they can find common grounds, if they can tolerate each other. If they can think about humans first and then religion. Without humans there would be nothing! Seems to me human has got no value. If you want to hate someone you will find so many reasons but if you want to love someone, it could be difficult sometimes. Peace and love for every human!
