your also forgeting sasuke was resting in a little coffin while naruto fought and the demon fox takes up blood so it was also slowly killing him :)

I think, either Sasuke thought Naruto died, so he left him there, then when Kakashi found him, and Sasuke had the short flashback about Itachi, Sasuke found out Naruto survived and Sasuke planned to get power his own way. That, or he chose not to kill Naruto when he was standing over him

sasuke would have lost think about there fight on the rooftop naruto's resangon was stronger then sasuke chidri i might have spelled then wrong but anyways sasuke would have lost this battle only if he havent put the curse mark's power in it his chidori was normal into it got bigger and but curse mark in it and he didnt kill naruto because he didnt want to follow itachi's way of killing his best friend cuz he didnt want to get stronger from that and get the mangekyo shringon
