I wanted to make a video about my pregnancy as an overweight woman. I ran into issues with Swelling, Gestational Diabetes, where to find maternity clothes that fit, and more. I discuss some of this in this video and show a shot of my baby belly from my first and second pregnancies. Let me know if you have any questions..I'd be happy to answer :)

  • how long did it take u to get pregnant?

  • @ooitzgigi I was very lucky and was able to conceive when I was ready. I wasn't on birth control so there were no hormones that had to leave my system before I could get pregnant.

  • @jullpete very nice how much overweight were u? .. my doctor said overweight girls dont ovulate -.-

  • @ooitzgigi My ideal weight should be 175 and I was 220 when I conceived my first and about 240 when I conceived my second. I think your Doctor was over generalizing because I know lots of overweight women who have kids.

  • @jullpete well im diabetic.. and im 200 pounds but im short 5'2 she keeps telling me to loose weight but why not do it after i have a child? she made it seem like i cant conceive if i dont loose weight. super mad and sad :/

  • @ooitzgigi That is so discouraging! I know there are health reasons for both Mom and baby to be at a healthy weight. But I know that for myself I struggle with my weight and there is a chance that I will not be at a "healthy" weight while I am still able to have kids. I am glad I didn't wait to have kids.

  • @AxKatenok I'm glad you liked it! When I was first pregnant I wished there had been something like this. It's nice to hear of someone's experiences with pregnancy.

  • loved the video!

  • @missjellydee Congratulations! I don't think there is anything more exciting than being pregnant. My best advice for you would be to just watch your weight. You will do great no matter what :) Best wishes to you.
