Dai Sil Kim-Gibson, author and documentary filmmaker of "Silence Broken" speaks at the Palisades Park Public Library about Korean Comfort Women at the House of Sharing.
If American scholars reserch about history of Korea/Japan during WWII, they must check many existing studies in Korea and Japan. If Stetz and Oh could find hard evidence that any evidence that those Korean women were "forced" to be comfort women by Japanese military or officials, it would cause a big sensation, because such evidence is not yet found by no Japanese reserchers or scholars yet.
I'm asking if there is any evidence that those Korean women were "forced" to be comfort women by Japanese military or officials, other than doubtful "testimonies"?
Are those authors refering official documents issued by Japanese officials ?
@2008venom sadly I can. Stetz, Margaret and Oh, Bonnie. Legacies of the Comfort Women of World War II. New York: An East Gate Book, 2001.
This book has a collection of them and it is an assigned textbook in many top universities including Asian history courses in Illinois and UCLA.Read it.
Can you show me any evidence that those Korean women were "forced" to be comfort women by Japanese military or officials, other than doubtful "testimonies"?
@2008venom that is the weakest, most distorted argument I have ever witnessed.
Maybe receiving a western-style education in a distinguished university might help you, but I can't guarantee as it seems you are inherently retarded.
Hey, fusedblue, please show me a part of the evidence you have found in that book.
I'm so interested in it.

@hc0216
As of today, many Korean men and women are being arrested in USA for prostitution.
It is very easy to more and more Korean women had to become prostitutes because of poverty 70 years ago.
