【Amalgamate】 Autumn in Spring Love Song 《DUBattle Royale Round 3》

Here is our 3rd round entry! The theme this time was Random Draw and we got:
-Traditional/Folk
-Regret
-Layers of Harmony

Our entry this time is a mashup of the following songs with an original instrumental and arrangement by Ai:
-Romeo & Cinderella Freedom
-Tsumugi Uta
-Akahitoha
-Sakura Sakura by Rin'

Incidentally, we also tried to tell a simple story with this mashup of ours. In the beginning, with the R&C Freedom intro, the female protagonist of our story tells of her regret of not having been able to convey her feelings properly. With the first Tsumugi Uta verse, she sings of how she took what she had with her lover for granted and again reminisces about the past and reflects on the present. Here, we presume that she has lost her lover in some way and is mourning him. In the 2nd verse, the Akahitoha verse, she has a flashback to a time when she spoke with her lover, a foreshadowing of the events that led to the present. In the chorus that immediately follows this verse, we can see her state of mind getting worse and more desperate. And in the third part, there is more reminiscing and regret and mourning until the very last chorus, where she takes her life to rejoin her lover. Lovely, no?

Thank you to Ai and Veri for putting in so much time and effort into this! (Especially Ai for making the instrumental while following the crappy/ VERY vague outlining I gave you ;). We thought we should throw in a bit of Chinese in this for a more 'traditional' and uh... 'original' feel. 8D OH. and we planned to call this arrangement 'RATS' for a period of time. LOL. (R=R&C Freedom, A=Akahitoha, T=Tsumugi Uta, S =Sakura Sakura). OR we could've spelt it backwards and went with 'STAR' instead. But that doesn't really fit with the theme of the song and is too typical. -shot-
Uh anyways, trying to create the video to this was very close to hell. -shot- I had a lot of people help me with the ideas and stuff. Since this is sorta my first time.

Veri: We must say that this was a tough one to put together and thank heavens for the deadline extension. First, we were panicking because of our theme. We weren't sure how in the world we were going to pull off traditional/folk, but I think it all worked out in the end. HUGE thanks to Ai for taking the time out of her busy life to make the arrangement and instrumental completely from scratch. Isn't she amazing? She also helped master and make my terrible mixing sound better! Forgive us if the video isn't the best. This is the first Yuri or I have even TRIED making a video.

Ai: ...Sob I dunno anymore this was horrible. My dear old desktop was lagging so badly I had to mix in 22.5 kHz sampling rate ;_;. Everyone in the group worked hard for this so I hope everyone enjoys this~! On a side note YAY *dumps all mixing and arrangement files*.
