Very well done animation-wise, but... you've got the story all mixed up. x_X Geisha were not... scarlet women. They were entertainers who DRANK TEA with powerful men for money. They had a "danna", a, um, scandalous business patron for about five years, and then they got new ones. They didn't sell themselves to everyone, as it would lower their prices.

Well, I just wanted to show the drama Sayuri has to live: she has to hide that she's fallen in love with a powerful man (the Chairman), while she has to stay with another (Nobu) she doesn't like. In addition, there are other men who desires her body and try take liberties with her (the Baron and the General) I tried to show the story from the point of view of the Chairman and Nobu at the begining, and end with the mess Sayuri's life seems to her

You may have understood that because of the lyrics of the song... Well, at this point I can understand the confussion; but I chose this song because I thought it showed the feelings of the three main characters: Sayuri, the Chairman and Nobu (that's why I put some lip sincrozation at the begining with the Chairman and Nobu and I centered the end on Sayuri) But I didn't try to show geishas as... scarlet women lol
