On Sunday October 9, 2011, (a picture perfect day) Indian River gathered to say goodbye to their Historic Camelback Bridge. This Camelback Style Bridge was only built in Michigan and the Indian River Bridge is one of only two remaining. It has been declared "functionally obsolete" and will removed and replaced with a more modern bridge this fall. The only photo of the bridge was taken in 1933.

  • Such a landmark. Indian River will not be the same without that bridge.
