this guy is my hero. I watched this live on cspan this morning and was moved to tears. twice.

We had over 6,000 students there, but we only let about 1,000 in the building. I think that is pretty damn reasonable.

What is not reasonable is doing nothing in the face of global warming. We the are the United States, our government works for us. Being passionate is not confrontational it is civic and responsible.

If you are born in a bad neighborhood, and your school is so underfunded you are not given the same opportunities as your white brother two towns over on the right side of the tracks, you will not get the "You can be anything you want" education that two towns over is provided free for your brother from another mother. Green Jobs will create opportunities for people who society has ignored, as green clean pathways out of poverty.

oh, yeah, $200 billion sounds like a lot, because IT IS A LOT! green jobs. he proposes $200 billion dollars be flushed down the toilet, esp. considering he is saying that the ones he is proposing getting the funds - those "locked out of the dirty economy", you know the uneducated, etc. will be tasked with providing the ROI (return on investment) of that $200 billion. social justice? ha. CHEAP ENERGY SAVES LIVES. think about it.

but yea... the chanting... lol... and the confrontational attitude... although i guess that is something that congress needs to have shoved in their faces if we want to accomplish anything... and if they dont want to be replaced by better people.

It was amazing to be a part of this... but I was disappointed, also, to see that all of the committee members were MIA.

It's great to see Energy Action at Congress but terrible to see all the 'representatives' away...presumably representing there own interest of raising campaign funds from big corporates.
