Funy thing is Ford used to lie about the HP output of their engines. They got caught out and yeah thats not funny tho but yeah they were making more power then was said. There is a documentary about it i think the phase 4 was making around 430 hp rather then 400hp that they said. They did the same with the phase 3 it was something like 400hp rather then 360hp ,all because they wanted Holdens to think they were making less power
