it's a heavily modified version of a smk88 with blue cherry switches.

In Japanese: チェリー青軸を使用した、コンパクトメカニカルキーボードです。結構改良しました。
Modifications include:
* replacement of all original blue cherry switches with newer & lighter blue cherries.
* blank key tops with smoother texture
* lubricated stabilizers (using SmoothAid)

  • new blue cherries are different from old blue cherries?

  • yes. newer ones feel lighter than the original ones for some reason (Δ=3-6g).

my guess is that blue cherries manufactured more recently have weaker springs

inside than they used to be.

  • where di u get the keyboard and how much was it?

  • it's not sold and you can't find it anywhere as it is pretty much my original. please read the description. you can gather necessary parts if you are willing to spend 200 bucks though. but you'll still have to modify it yourself.

  • ugly mix of colors

  • Is there any place left to buy the non modded versions of these? This looks incredible.

  • Haha @ 1:25

  • your keyboard looks awesome!

  • @thepoopsniff Don't worry about it. The videos are just people typing code messages sent to aliens who watch Youtube. The typed messages are about helping to plan a mass exodus from the Earth aboard giant motherships in 2012. But there's nothing that you or I can (or would want to) do about it, because the new planet we're all going to is wonderful.

  • I really can't get my head around the hype of keystrokes and sounds of a keyboard..

  • @mcbrite a thin coin works fine for me, on some of the longer keys my fingers alone can get them out(and from there give leverage to get out other key next to them)

just have to prise them upwards

  • @thepoopsniff mechanical keyboards, check the overclock d o t net mechanical keyboard guide for more details

  • what the heck are all these v ideos im seeing of people just typing on a keyboard? please xplain

  • somebody said you need a tool to change out swtiches.... did you? and if so, what's the tool?
