Mate - launching a bike at the strip involves a shit load more than just turning the throttle. You have to balance wheelspin, wheelies, enough revs on to not bog down, but enough to not wheelie etc etc etc - It's alot harder than it looks and it's a huge buzz. You can make up 10th's on a long track here and there - on the strip you get ONE chance...

i hate bloody drag strips. What's so heroic about cracking the throttle? Not having a dig at the blokes in the vid, I just think besides seeing how quick the bike accelerates, it's a useless thing to do for bragging rights. I have a friend that always takes his car to the drag strip but isn't interested in doing a run around the bloody track! I just think the fun factor can't be that high at a drag strip.
