Is there a better way to spend a spare afternoon than getting the mates round, hitting Homebase, pulling out the power tools, and having a go at building your own homemade hovercraft?! Nope, I don't reckon there is!! I'm still working on the design and planning a good stunt with it soon!

Greg is a Science Junkie - half science geek, half adrenaline-junkie, he's up for pushing himself, and science, to the limit. As a stunt scientist Greg's on a mission to find original, edgy and immersive ways to carry out science documentaries.

Greg did his science degree at Cambridge University where he got a first class BA Hons in Natural Sciences. His degree covered all areas of science including Physics, Maths, Chemistry, Evolution&Behaviour and The History and Philosophy of Science.

Greg has recently been seen as the resident science expert on KnowItAlls, a new quiz series on BBC2 hosted by Gyles Brandreth where he judged members of the public on their science knowledge. Greg's first television appearance was in 2007 presenting the children's science/invention series Whizz Whizz Bang Bang on BBC1 making such crazy inventions as an underwater canoe, hover-board, robotic horse and a jet engine bed driven by The Stig. His other TV credits include performing explosive experiments on Richard & Judy and talking genetics on Channel 4. He currently co-presents a weekly science podcast called Droppin' Science (www.droppinsci.com) that is full of quirky news from the world of science all wrapped up in a funky MTV style production.

Greg grew up in the Lake District where he spent his time kayaking, climbing and merrily hanging off high wire ropes, plus with a love of snowboarding and surfing Greg isn't phased by a total wipe out! He's currently planning a new adrenaline-fueled live school show all about the science of extreme sports (www.sciencejunkieshow.co.uk) and planning lots more Science Junkie stunts!

  • Hi,could i kno wwhats the name of your leafblower?

  • I admire the fact that you had fun doing it and testing it with your friends. Most people go into this stuff with a "just get it done mentality." it's not a waste if you had fun doing it.

  • That was a waste of a day and a epic fail

  • I liked it!

  • Gud job bro... u r lucky to have such mates.. and nice idea to spend a holiday afternoon, teamwork adds more bond in a friends gang, rather than doping/drinking.
