@danmu Well, it could be the vibe of this new album, but he sounded like a rapper to me. I'm afraid INXS may be going that route.

It's too bad you haven't gotten into Tricky. He's worked with a large number of artists over the past 20 years and is very talented. While I don't consider Mediate his best work, it isn't terrible. Also, Tricky isn't really a rapper at all. Tricky has a bunch of cds, but I'd recommend Maxinquaye as a good introduction to his work.

@thestew75 You said "they're both too danced up and sound so much like all the other dance music out there today,"
I think you said exactly what I was trying to say. :) Thank you. I could not think of the right words. I always loved INXS for their originality. This just makes them seem industrialized, I guess.
Dee, do you remember when I said in pvt to ya that "Mediate" by Tricky would make a big hit in "my crowd"? It finally did.......what is it...2 years later or something? LOL Ya know I love ya, sister! xoxoxo

@chilibelton512 This wasn't a bad track. Not one of the better tracks, but surely not as bad as how Kick came out. Luv ya too! :)

I see where you're coming from but I must say I disagree. I, like most of INXS' listeners I suppose perfer the original to the new version, (especially the original version live) but I kinda actually like the new version, in fact, I think it's the best of the rerecorded tracks. I don't feel they were necessarily trying to become a rap or RnB group as much as they are simply trying to reinvent themselves. For instance the new version of Never Tear Us Apart sounds nothing like a rap or rnb song.

@JakeDisselt To each their own, I guess. I am anxiously awaiting their new music, hoping they have produced something new and different.
