Every year, nearly six and a half thousand New Zealanders will have a stroke. They're devastating...they can happen at any age. What's worrying is, 85 % of strokes are preventable. This is a half hour story, please watch Part 2 to get the full story.
Watching Mary was difficult for me. My mother had a massive stroke 6 years ago and could barely speak. She could grunt some words, if that makes any sense. Unfortunately, after almost a week in the hospital, my mother passed away at 46 years old. I think my mother would've ended up like Mary if she survived, although she would've been in a rehab center the rest of her life. Thanks for showing videos like this.
