  • On a personal note: I first heard Segovia when I was around 7 years old, and was absolutely knocked out by his playing (the recordings I had included the famous Bach recordings). These days I prefer to listen to the actual cello versions of the Bach Suites although I understand that Bach on the guitar will always fascinate guitarists.

  • 2 words: segovia version

  • I respond with more than two words: I'm not sure what you are conveying. Listen to the segovia version you mean? Or, are you saying my version sounds like Segovia's arrangement? The majority of my version was prepared under the supervision by a two very senior performer/teachers: the first, well-respected and his teacher was taught by John Williams and the second, a well-known performer who knew, and has met and interviewed Segovia a number of times

  • Very nicely played. I am used to hearing this a little faster, but it works well at this speed and allows you to obtain the best tone from your lovely guitar

  • I have another version that I play much faster. I will the Bach Prelude on here for you in the next few weeks. Best regards, DH

  • love your choice in dynamic changes. also love the tempo changes. i went almost the opposite direction with mine. great job 5 stars.

  • I dont know why speed has to be the main issue this piece was written buy bach who died in 1750 bless him ,its a romantic piece you can play it with many instruments including kitchen utencils .I think it sounds fantastic well done.

  • Enjoyed it very much. Makes me want to learn it myself -- if I had about a million hours! Thansk so much.
