No, the solid motors are always jettisoned over the ocean, and they are eaten away pretty quickly by the saltwater.

Do those motors have parachutes, so when they're jettisoned, they don't land on someone...

Great video, don't ask me why but I actually watched this live on NASA TV... amazing what suddenly takes your fancy when browsing isnt it. I think its a dark desire to see something happen, like BANG! ha ha
