I have loved Duke Pearson's music since the '60s. Love the arpeggiation of these chords in the melody, love the intonation and unison phrasing of the trumpet and tenor, and simply love this entire album (Sweet Honeybee). No, you aren't the only person who likes this. I'm enthralled by his music. And just so you know I'm not a guy from a diner, I wrote the program notes for the Monterey Jazz Festival back in the late '70s.
The best!!!!
