what a great song! I've been a fan for decades and I never grow tired of Michael Franks! He's right up there with Steely Dan (my all-time fave) in my book!

I first heard Michael years ago, when music still was found on vinyl discs.--showing my age, I guess. Anyway, he was cool then. My music store friends back then said, "Hey, you got to hear this guy. He's great. He sings kinda' slow, like he's on ludes, but he's cool." I've been in love with this cat's music ever since. Anytime I'm in a down mood, I always find something from Michael that serves as a balm.

Just heard him at Jazz Alley in Seattle Sept 2011. Looking a little older but still  the coolest dude there is. He's the best listener I've ever heard. I mean he listens to the band and the music intensely-that's why his intonation and phrasing are impeccable!

My roomate turned me on to Franks waaay back in the 80's when Sade just came out...he said this cat's the male version of Sade. As a devout Metal-head and musican my whole life, I instantly heard the amazing song writting, play on words and fantastic musicianship (yes Metal-heads are big on quality players regardless of their styles....we just love METAL) Passion Fruit is what I mostly played when I was'nt screwing a slut. Thanks to my cool roomate, I expanded my sphere of music & girls!
