Is anyone on this thread an actually a lawyer? Or a JD candidate? If not, there's no value to anything said here. The freedoms Thomas has protected state's rights against federal regulatory power are vital to your personal freedom. If we had no originalist perspectives sitting on the Supreme Court, what are we left with? Judicial activism with no restraint, a police state regulating every aspect of your lives. You have the freedom to disagree and that freedom is embodied in the balance of SCOTUS
