a girlfriend of mine was running a talent quest as part of the opening of Mid Summer Festival 2003, (or was it 04?) held in Fed Square, Melbourne, Australia. she asked if i could do something as she needed more contestants. i'll B the first to admit i have many varied talents - none of which are suitable for a stage in a public arena! but then i relaized this was my one and maybe only opportunity to feel like a rock star. life had a sick way of attributing me with everything needed for a pop star other than a voice - i'm tone deaf!!! in any case - i preformed this lil number... and won! the best critique came from a lesbian behind my mate that pointed out, in a very serious lesbian tone, "That's not talent. That's just an ass!" damn right it is, and i worked hard for it!
