@dangriffin118 Even if it is stripped out, it still has a lot less power to weight than the focus!!

focus RS is around 205bhp/ton 300bhp / 1486kg

megane is 185bhp/ton 227bhp / 1230kg

in power-to-weight terms, the focus still has the edge on paper! so its not just the fact that its stripped out thats giving it the edge! Its the design of the chassis aswell!

@Soussmeboules The last titles that Ford got are from 2007 and 2006 in WRC. And, if you did not get it yet, it is not a car vs car there, it is a driver vs driver. And Hirvonen & Co. cannot reach Loeb's waters even with a fighter jet, except on snow.

Plus .. please ... in what dream are you living? The WRC cars have nothing to do with the wearing same name street cars. All they share is ... the looks and the name ...

@F7Ruggle In the corners the weight plays big role, no matter how you look at it, the megane has 250 kilos less, and that matters on the circuit (not just the power to weight ratio is important).

@fredrikolsson Sure, nobody disagrees with you. Though you are more the exception than the rule of how people buy/use cars. Even if people live just outside the city and drive inside to the parking of the subway and actually use the subway in a big city, they still use the car every day ... And I am sure you got my point about the everyday car.
