@CARBONxBASS That does not, in any way, make you a nerd. I would definately agree that classicl music has a quality that no other music possesses. It's good that you have the pleasure of knowing what others haven't discovered yet.

I have asked, and he was proud of my suggestion. Now it all revolves around actually getting the instrument. -laughs- I have been playing for about 4 years now. ((Gosh, it doesn't feel like that long!))

Yeah, I also play bass as well. I do enjoy the deep tone and the way it provides support to a piece. Tell your director how much the bass benefits your band and that it adds a rich sound. Good luck! By the way, how long've you been playing?
